According to the <a href="http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000193.htm">National Institutes of Health</a>, "<a href="http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000533.htm">Amyloidosis</a> is the accumulation of clumps of proteins called amyloids in body tissues and organs. The proteins slowly replace normal tissue."<br /><br />Those are the facts, but to many who were touched by this man, they don't begin to tell the story. And anyone that knew Bruce knows that he liked for the story to be right — accurate, entertaining, detailed, and correct in every respect. He wasn't satisfied until it was all of that.<br /><br /><strong>So that's what we'll do here. This is a forum for remembrances of <a href="http://www.brucesteinberggallery.com/AboutBruceSteinberg.htm">Bruce Steinberg</a> — art director, musician, designer, marketing director, engineer, actor, friend, mentor, and most of all, father and grandfather. Leave your remembrances here as comments.</strong><br /><br />Bruce changed the world. Not just through his <a href="http://www.brucesteinberggallery.com/" target="_blank">landmark rock and roll photography</a>, his engineering work for NASA (against all the rules, his initials are carved in a Mariner spacecraft still hurtling through space somewhere — now THAT's rock and roll!), or his <a href="http://www.brucesteinberggallery.com/MiscZooms/BruceSteinbergProfile.htm" target="_blank">national award-winning design work</a>, but through you and me. He gave ordinary people like us the confidence that we could accomplish BIG things. Of course, we KNEW Bruce could do it... he's BRUCE STEINBERG... not me... <em>but maybe if Bruce thinks I can...</em><br /><br />Just make sure those em-dashes are used correctly.
